This project was introduced to make light of politics and create a pun filled, humorous approach to more radical ideas and frameworks. There are many other zines out there that make fun of politics, punk rock, and the DIY scene like the Super-Happy Anarcho Fun Pages but, we at Anderson House decided to through our hats, patches, and musings into the fracas.
Bananarchy: A Journal of Desire Peeled, is a spoof on Anarchy: A Journal of Desire Armed. While we appreciate the analysis, commentary, and romanticism of Anarchist journals, they can be kind of bleak. Hopefully, you enjoy the zine.
Below, you'll find a copy of the first issue. We also have Bananarchy buttons, patches, and shirts for sale which, helps us produce more zines and keep our project going. So, if you're a fan, please support us and become a Bananarchist. If your finances are lacking a little, no worries, we have some slight misprints or offset shirts and patches for a discounted price. All of our goods are cheaper in person, so be sure to meet us in person.
Anderson House in Santa Cruz is no more. If you want to get in contact with us please email us, for now. (30.8.2011)
